Or let us handle it...

Do you want to provide your ensemble with a fulfilling virtual performance experience but are feeling overwhelmed at the audio/video editing required to produce one? Not to worry! Ryan Rogers and Adam Bendorf (RyAd) are here to help.

In order to ensure a smooth process for us and for your ensemble, we use a two-step process in which musicians record audio only first and a lip-sync/air-play video after the audio has been fully edited

Here's what you'll get from us:

  • Full setup of audio recording assignments for ensemble members on Soundtrap.com
  • How-to videos explaining each step of the recording process for musicians (including Soundtrap, mic placement, etc.)
  • Copy/paste-ready musician instructions for audio and video assignments via email or on your preferred Learning Management System (LMS) along with director instructions to guide you through the process
  • Complete audio aligning, editing, mixing, and mastering using industry-standard software
  • Complete video aligning, editing/retouching, and video wall animation to ensure a beautiful presentation of your performance
  • Optional (additional cost associated): Accompaniment (piano only) tracks and/or practice tracks for vocal works
  • Complimentary guidance and assistance in navigating copyright law as it relates to virtual ensemble performances (note that we do not assume financial responsibility for licensing any copyrighted material)

Here's what we'll need from you...

  • Accompaniment and/or practice tracks with which musicians will record (note that we can create accompaniment and practice tracks for vocal works at an additional cost)
  • Preparation of your ensemble on the song(s) to be recorded before audio submissions open
  • Any images, logos, or titles you would like displayed on the final video
  • Communication of our prepared audio and video recording assignments to your musicians along with non-negotiable due dates for each
  • A four-week window from the date audio submissions close to your performance date (note that videos must be recorded by musicians within one week of receiving our edited audio)
  • That's it!

Video Walls

In order to meet the significantly increased demand for our services during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are limiting all video editing to the use of video wall presets. While this should not have an impact on most projects, there are some specific video-related requests (ie. Eric Whitacre-style panning shots, particular design/animation requests, etc.) which we are unable to accommodate at this time. The video below demonstrates the various styles of walls we have available, and you should feel free to indicate a preference (or lack thereof) for any of these in your request.
